REPS SUMMON PRESIDENTIAL PANEL, OTHERS OVER PUBLIC PROPERTY RECOVERY.
The committee however expressed displeasure at the none appearance of public officers at the hearing saying is a complete contempt for the committee.
The Lawmakers further insisted on the importance of the panel members to give adequate report of their findings.
House of Representative Correspondent, Linda Ike reports that committee also summoned Accountant General, Auditor General, Head of Service of the federation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other related matter Commission (ICPC), Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and Inspector General of Police.
In the meantime, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara who was represented by Deputy Minority Whip, Hon. Binta Bello advised that the investigative hearing should stimulate fruitful discussion in tackling issues concerned,
He added that the hearing will also also explained that the hearing ensure a holistic oversight to find out members of the personnel and the bank account assigned for the recovery noting that it is not to witch hunt any body.
The committee later adjourned the hearing till Tuesday the 24th of April for the continuation of the hearing with a warning of serious sanctions on any agency or head of agencies that fails to honour invitation of the parliament.
