Singer Niniola was robbed of cash and jewelry in South Africa

Niniola was at Jet Music Outlet in Maponya Mall, Soweto for an autograph signing for her latest album – This is Me. Following her acceptance in South Africa with the release of ‘Magun’ remix featuring Busisiwa and Heavy K’s collaboration. According to the reports, “Jewellery and cash to an estimated value of R300000 was taken” and this happened last week Wednesday in Sandton, South Africa.
Niniola and her friends had stopped over at McDonalds in Sandton city for a meal where they were later attacked by three robbers in the fast-food outlet. Niniola’s bag and cellphone were taken from her. Niniola’s friend however confirmed that a police case had been opened with the Sandton division. Also the CMCO of McDonalds, expressed regret and sympathy over the terrible event, and pledged to working with the police authorities to aid their investigation.
Update: Writing on her Twitter, Niniola has said it was her mobile phone that was stolen and not R300,000 cash – which changes for roughly N8million. She wrote:
“lol ah ahn 8m ke na mobile phone na. there are numbers u can call to verify certain gist be4 you post. who carries that kind of cash around lol”
