NDIDI WANTS ENGLAND TO WIN WORLD CUP SINCE ALL AFRICAN TEAMS ARE OUT

Nigeria and Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi is backing England for World Cup glory at Russia 2018.
England will face Croatia in the second semifinal tonight, with Gareth Southgate’s team looking to seal a place in the final on Sunday at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium.
The Three Lions are hoping to emulate their 1966 team which won the tournament on home soil to record England’s only World Cup triumph so far.
Ndidi has given his backing to the British country, not only because he makes his living in their top flight Premier League, but also to support his club-mates Harry Maguire and Jamie Vardy.
The former has been particularly influential in England’s campaign, even scoring a thumping header in their 2-0 quarterfinal win over Sweden last weekend.
Ndidi, who said the most memorable moment of his own outing in Russia with the Super Eagles was their 2-0 victory over Iceland, declared his support for England following the exit of all African nations from the competition.
He explained: “Since all the African countries are out of the tournament, I tip England to win the World Cup.
“(Nigeria’s) win against Iceland brought joy and hope to the nation and the team. Unfortunately, the game against Argentina did not go down well, as expected even though we put in our best in that game.”
The match between Croatia and England tonight will kick-off at 7pm in Moscow.
