14 DEAD IN FRESH PLATEAU ATTACK
Fourteen people have been reported killed in a fresh attack in Plateau State.
Channels Tv reported that, the incident occurred on Thursday night when Gunmen attacked the community.
According to the report, the 14 people killed comprised of one child, five men and eight women.
Residents claimed that efforts were made to reach security officials when the attack was going on but the officials failed to respond until Friday morning.
In the early hours of Friday, youths of the community took to the streets, protesting against the late response of the military.
They mounted barricades preventing motorists and passers-by from accessing the road, but troops of the Operation Safe Haven moved into the area and cleared the barricade.
The tension has, however, spread to Gada Biu, Katako, Farin Gada and the Jos main market as traders and shop owners have closed to avoid any vandalism by hoodlums
