TEENAGER REMANDED IN PRISON IN EKITI FOR KILLING HIS SCHOOLMATE
A 16-year-old teenager and student of Ado Grammar School, Odo-Ado in Ado-Ekiti, Kehinde Timilehin, who allegedly murdered his schoolmate has been remanded by an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The suspect, is standing trial for murder of 18-year-old Favour Matthew.
According to the prosecutor, Insp. Johnson Okunade, the accused stabbed Matthew on the chest and killed him on December 6 in Ado-Ekiti.
According to NAN, the court did not take the plea of the accused, as Chief Magistrate Adesoji Adegboye said he needed advice from the state Director of Public Prosecutions.
He ordered that the accused be kept at the state Children Correctional Centre, pending the DPP’s advice.
Adegboye adjourned the case until January 18, 2019 for mention
