AIRTEL’s ‘5 DAYS OF LOVE’ YULETIDE SEASON INITIATIVE PUT SMILES ON LAGOSIANS

Airtel Nigeria, in collaboration with UAC through its franchise, Mr. Biggs on Tuesday as part of it Yuletide season celebration fed over 2,000 Lagosians in Ojuelegba, Surulere Lagos.
The event tagged ‘5 Days of Love’ was part of Airtel’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) under the aegis of Airtel’s Employee Volunteer Scheme (EVS), a forum created with the view of giving back to the society, focused on encouraging, inspiring and sharing with the less priviledge in this period of love, celebration and sharing which is the reason for the season.
The occasion was anchored by popular comedian, Hyenana, who thrilled the guests with jokes. It also featured dance performance and music.
Airtel representative, who preferred to remain anonymous, said the event was scheduled for 5 days and it will be a giveaway period to all the indigent citizens living in some targeted areas in the country, by providing quality hot meals with a thrilling atmosphere of fun, good entertainment and love.
He added that it is also focused at empowering stakeholders in the communities where it operates.
He said the host community for this year’s ‘5 Days of Love’ include; Sultan Mosque, Opposite Sultan Palace, Sokoto, on Tuesday, 11th December, Gyadi Primary School, Kano on Wednesday, 12th December, where over 1,000 less priviledged persons will be fed, Sango Tipper Garage, Ibadan and Isaac Boro Park, Port Harcourt will also host the Airtel ‘Five Days of Love’ goodie train on Thursday, 13th December and Friday, 14th December, respectively.
Beneficiaries at the event in Ojuelegba Lagos appreciated Airtel for the initiative.
Mr Tolu in Ojuelegba Lagos said he was surprised as he was not expecting any free foodfrom any one today. “Today I didn’t think I was going to get free food until I saw Airtel setting up. I, then, asked and I was told Airtel was feeding everyone. I was so happy. Thank you Airtel for giving us food to eat”.
Miss Falila also appreciated Airtel for providing good food for her and her daughter. “God bless Airtel for giving me and my baby food today, Thank you Airtel for touching our lives,” she said.
