EFL Championship Round 25 Preview: Leeds Look To Hang On To Top Spot With Local Derby Against Hull

Meanwhile, Norwich host Derby in promotion clash while Sheffield United welcome Blackburn Rovers
This coming Saturday (29 December) sees the 25thround of games in the EFL Championship – English domestic football’s second tier – take place. Current league leaders Leeds host Hull, while Norwich welcome Derby County to Carrow Road in what looks to be the tie of the round, and Sheffield United host an out of sorts Blackburn Rovers.

Before you go any further, head on over to the Oddsshark website, find your favourite betting site and get your own account up and running using your credit card. As a new customer and with the EFL Championship campaign now over halfway through, there should be a wide range of promotions and special offers available to you.

First up, the clash between local rivals Leeds United and Hull City. At the time of writing, Leeds have won six league games in a row and sit a point ahead of Norwich at the top of the table – Leeds are the favourites to win the EFL Championship table, and you can more than double your money by backing them to do so at a price of 2.25, according to Oddsshark.
Hull, by way of comparison, are in the bottom half of the table but come into this match in good form, having gone five games unbeaten. Their recent run of results has seen the club climb away from relegation trouble, for the time being at least.
But it is league leaders Leeds who come into this match as the clear favourites to continue their recent winning streak. You can back the home side to take all three points at just 1.50, while Hull are out at 6.00 to pull off a shock win – a draw is priced in the middle at 4.33.
But we fancy an in-form Hull to hold Leeds to a stalemate. A 1-1 draw is priced at 8.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$40 pay out, while you can double your money by backing under 2.5 goals in the game at 2.00.
Norwich look to keep run going against Derby
One side who could take advantage of any Leeds slip up is Norwich City, who sit a point behind them in second place. The Canaries are currently on an 11-game unbeaten run in the EFL Championship, and are priced at just 1.83 to win promotion back to the FA Premier League.
Derby, by way of comparison, are in good form themselves under rookie boss Frank Lampard and are fifth in the table. A win here could take them as high as third, depending on how other results go.
But it is Norwich who come in as the favourites to snatch the points. You can more than double your money by backing Norwich for the win at 2.10, while Derby are out at 3.25 to do the same – a draw would appear to be the least likely result, and is priced accordingly at 3.60.
And given how Derby have been playing recently, they could well snatch a result. A narrow, 1-0 win for the visitors, is priced competitively at 10.00, thereby offering a ten-fold return on any investment, while you could more than double your money by backing a “No” to both teams scoring, which is priced at 2.10.
Sheffield United host Blackburn
And finally, Sheffield United will look to get back to winning ways when they host Blackburn Rovers. The Blades have not won for two games but are still in sixth place, and are priced at just 1.61 to finish in the top six come the end of the season.
Blackburn, meanwhile, have been in free fall recently. They have won just one of their last 10 outings and have slipped down into the bottom half of the table – the Rovers are in desperate need of a positive result.
But Sheffield United come into this game as the red hot favourites to pick up a much needed win. You can back the home side to take all three points at just 1.61, with Rovers out at 5.25 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 4.00.
And we are expecting United to get that win. A 2-1 victory for the home side comes in at 8.00, while you could more than triple your money by backing a combo bet of a home win, coupled with both teams to score, which is priced at 3.50.
