BABAGANA UMARA OF APC WINS BORNO GOV’SHIP ELECTION

Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Borno State Governorship election, Babagana Umara has been declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to the State’s Returning Officer, Alhassan Gani who made the announcement at the collation centre in Maiduguri on Monday, Gabi won a total of 1,175,440 votes.
The returning officer added that Umara’s closest opposition and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mohammed Imam, scored 66,115 votes.
