CAF has confirmed that if a team has at least 11 players who have tested negative for Covid-19, they must continue with their matches. Teams who do not have a minimum of 11 players are regarded to have lost the game with a two-goal deficit. If there is no designated goalkeeper, an outfield player must play in goal. “A team that does not have at least 11 players is regarded to have lost the match by a score of 0-2. Several players from various participating teams have already tested positive for Covid-19, including Edouard Mendy, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kalidou Koulibaly, and others. At 5.30 p.m. on Sunday, host country Cameroon will face Burkina Faso in the opening match of the campaign.
