Burna Boy has leveraged his distinct style to propel hit collaborations such as Justin Bieber’s “Loved By You (ft. Burna Boy)” and British rapper Dave’s “Location (feat. Burna Boy).” ‘Loved By You (feat. Burna Boy)’ has received over 31 million streams worldwide in the last 90 days (March – May 2021).

Similarly, Master KG’s single Jerusalema (feat. African artists aren’t just performing on a global platform; they’re taking control of it.

Spotify will continue to foster education around Spotify for Artists, a powerful free tool that artists are encouraged to use to better understand and expand their audience and obtain information on how to best promote themselves, as it continues to give fans throughout the continent streaming access to the best African and international audio.

This, together with the expertise of Spotify’s music team and all the platforms’ initiatives will ensure that Spotify remains an instrumental vehicle for African creators looking to feature on a global stage.
