EPL Football SPORTS GIST CHELSEA SET TO FINALIZE ARMANDO BROJA’S PEMANENT DEAL By Admin Posted on 3 weeks ago 2 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Farouq Oduola A. The Chelsea board is attempting to conclude a long-term deal with young striker Armando Broja that will keep him at the club until 2026. With striker olivier giroud poised to join AC Millan and Tammy Abraham looking likely to depart the club, Chelsea Head Coach Thomas Tuchel, intends to include the teenage forward in his first team squad next season. Broja signed his professional contract with Chelsea in 2020 before he was loaned out. During his season on loan with Vitesse Arnhem, the 19-year-old scored 11 goals in 36 games, helping the club to a fourth-place finish in the Eredivisie. Tuchel intends to bring the Albanian international back to west London, despite interest from a number of big European teams, with the goal of putting him in the Premier League squad next season. Broja made his professional debut in a 4-0 win over Everton at home in 2020 under Frank Lampard. He also made his Albanian national team debut in 2020, and was named in their most recent squad after appearing in last month’s 2-0 loss to England. Tuchel will be able to focus his summer spending on one – rather than two – strikers as a result of the return of Chelsea’s youth player.
