SPORTS GIST TRENDING WORLD FOOTBALL CORONAVIRUS: NO MORE SELFIES, BAYERN MUNICH TELLS FANS By Admin Posted on February 29, 2020 1 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin In a bid to protect its players from Coronavirus, Bayern Munich Football Club of Germany have advised their players to not make themselves available for autographs or selfies. “Based on the recommendations of the [state-run] Robert Koch Institute and their extended implementation,” a statement on the club website said. “Prof. Dr. Roland Schmidt, the interneal head of FC Bayern’s medical department, has advised that FC Bayern players refrain from signing autographs for the time being and also from being available for photos or selfies with fans.” Earlier, the German Football League made a general statement on the subject of coronavirus for the clubs of the two top German tiers. They said they are closely monitoring the situation. While German football has not been impacted yet, the ITB travel trade fair in Berlin was cancelled on Friday over coronavirus fears.
