COVID-19: FG EVACUATES 306 NIGERIANS FROM UAE

A total of 306 Nigerians stranded in the United Arab Emirates have returned to the country.

This was made known in a tweet via the verified handle of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).

NIDCOM stated that the evacuees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja at about 8:44am on Wednesday.

“Some Evacuees will disembark in Abuja while others will proceed to MM Int’l Airport, Lagos,” the tweet read.

The Commission also noted that the returnees tested negative for COVID-19 before boarding the flight and they will undergo mandatory self isolation in line with the COVID-19 guidelines as stipulated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19.
