COVID 19: NO DEATHS RECORDED, 423 NEW CASES IN NIGERIA

Nigeria had registered 423 new cases of COVID-19 across the country, with no deaths on Thursday.

This was discovered by the National Center for Disease Control’s COVID-19 Update, which was released on Friday.

Lagos State led the infection table with 120 cases, followed by Rivers State with 118 cases, according to the NCDC data.

With 38 cases, Anambra State came in third, followed by the FCT and Gombe State with 32 and 31 cases, respectively.

Kaduna State had 21 cases, Oyo had 14, Benue had 11, Cross River had ten, and Kwara had nine.

Borno and Kano states each recorded five occurrences, while Bauchi and Jigawa states each reported three.

Furthermore, each of the states of Abia, Ogun, and Sokoto has a single example.

Plateau and Katsina have no reported instances, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, the NCDC revealed that as of January 2022, Nigeria had 25,000 active Covid-19 cases and 3,902 deaths.
