She believes in ethics and posseses diverse skills. Mrs Sanni-Yusuf is known for passing knowledge, impacting others, exhibiting maximum capacity for group projects and motivating her team to achieve high level of performance.

“Do not limit yourself to an association”, Mrs Fausat Sanni-Yusuf said.

She is a social advocate for collaboration and is an active member of various associations like NNEW,  AWEP Nigeria, Lagos State Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Living Green Farmers and Gardens Foundation where she is an outstanding member of the board of trustees.

Mrs Sanni-Yusuf started her business, Royal Siblings Ventures Limited, in 2005 and at the time, never knew of any business membership organisation.

Royal Siblings Ventures Limited is a food processing, packaging, manufacturing and marketing organisation. Her first ever business was a school named ‘Al-Hafiz Private School’ but things were not running smoothly. This downfall prompted her to establish the Agric business but she did not have the best approach at the time. “We weren’t supposed to go to the farm, nor start producing without identifying what the customer wanted” Mrs Sanni-Yusuf said was one of her early mistakes.

“Keep working at it, keep networking and keep aligning yourself with other groups of people…”, she advised. Mrs Sanni-Yusuf joined NNEW as an avenue for productive business plans and structures.

“We need to start small”, Mrs Sanni-Yusuf strongly advised that it is the beginning to every successful step.

Presently, Royal Siblings Ventures Limited produces several food items like of ofada rice, honey, garri, groundnuts etc. She highlighted that each of these products were not introduced into the business all at once. Only after much planning and full understanding of a product was another introduced. “We started with one, added others and over the years we were subsequently adding new products”, Mrs Fausat Sanni-Yusuf said regarding the concept of starting small.

Family is the basis of our existence, our support when the going gets rough. Mrs Sanni-Yusuf didn’t forget to point out the fact. “You need to get a good support system, your family.” “You need to have people around you to help in some areas you have weaknesses. Find and identify the people that can fill the gap for you, it makes it easier for you to be able to achieve your dream of running your business.”

Mrs Fausat Sanni-Yusuf said she wanted to bring a change and manufacture beneficial products. She has a disliking to the polishing of foreign rice due to its lack of nutrients. She then took it upon herself to search for local farmers in different parts of the country and she came up with different species of ‘ofada’ (local brown rice).

She also thought to herself at some point, “what is a natural substitute of sugar?”, and that was how she started manufacturing unadulterated honey.

After fully introducing all the products, NAFDAC( National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control) registration was the next hurdle to cross. Being a social advocate; when she wanted to push for her NAFDAC certifications, she invited five others to use her production facility in Ikosi-Ketu, Lagos.

“NAFDAC didn’t agree initially but after much persuasion, they still didn’t whole-heartedly agree but we were given the go ahead.”

In May 2020, NAFDAC then introduced the parliative which allowed facility owners to grant use of their facility to other business owners. Due to consideration of the Covid19 pandemic, the Federal Government granted free registration to the first 100 businesess and 80 percent off to the rest via online registration.

To wrap up her speech, Mrs Sanni-Yusuf said advised; “do the little you can and do those ones very well”
