Legendary sprinter Usain Bolt and his fiancée partner Kasi Bennett announced the birth of twin sons who have been named Thunder Bolt and Saint Leo Bolt in an instagram post on Sunday. Bolt is shown with his partner Kasi Bennett, their daughter Olympia Lightning, and the newborn twins in a family photo. The boys, like their sister, have been given equally appropriate names: Thunder and Saint Leo. The date of the twins’ birth was not specified in the post. Olympia Lightning, the couple’s first child, was born last year. Bennett also captioned a photo of the pair standing with Olympia Lightning Bolt and the twins, “Happy Father’s Day to my forever love! @usainbolt You are the rock of this family and the greatest daddy to our little ones. We love you world without end!” Following Bolt’s Instagram announcement, messages of congratulations poured in from fans and athletes alike, including fellow Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, American 200m specialist Wallace Spearmon, and British 200m world champion Dina Asher-Smith, who wrote, “Congratulations so adorable!” Bolt, 34, won eight gold medals at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games before retiring in 2017. He will not compete in the Covid-delayed Tokyo Olympics next month but stated that he was looking forward to attending the games as a spectator. “I’m really looking forward to being in the stands,” he added. “I’ve never had the chance to see an Olympic Games in person, whether it’s to watch swimming, football, or all of the activities. As a result, I’m looking forward to experiencing the Olympics as a true fan.” Bolt, an 11-time world champion, is still the fastest man on the planet, having broken world records in the 100-meter sprint (9.58 seconds) and the 200-meter sprint (19.19 seconds) in the 2009 Berlin World Championships.
