The two people, who are claimed to be pals, were kidnapped two weeks ago at Nshe’s Shendam home by gummen who carried them to an unknown location.

The abductors are claimed to have turned down a ransom of N7 million and demanded more money before releasing the two companions.

According to reports in Jos, the previous council chairman and the ASUU chairman have been released by their kidnappers.

Shendam resident John Alkali, who confirmed their release, said he went to the former council boss’s residence after hearing of his release and found the report to be true.

Alkali stated that “I can certify to you that Kemi Nshe, our previous Chairman in Shendam, and Dr. Monday Hassan, our former Chairman in Shendam, are now free men after around 15 days in captivity,” Alkali stated.

They were released yesterday, January 11, 2022, at exactly 10:23 p.m. I just got back from his house, where everyone was rejoicing and thanking God for their safe return. “
