MAURIZIO SARRI REPLACED SIMONE INZAGHI AS LAZIO COACH

After days of negotiation, former Chelsea and Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has agreed to a two-year contract with Serie A club Lazio worth roughly £2.6 million a season.

Sarri had been out of job since August 2020, when he was fired by Juventus after failing to guide them through the UEFA Champions League quarter-final stage despite winning the Serie A title in his first season in charge, despite the fact that he was still under contract with the Italian giant.

The Italian manager who has previously coached Napoli, Chelsea and Juventus takes over from Simone Inzaghi after he replaced Antonio Conte in a two-year deal at Inter Millan.
