O. A scheduled gathering at Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos, has been sealed off by security personnel. Hundreds of armed security personnel, including police officers, RRS operatives, the Lagos State Task Force, and the Lagos State Neighborhood Security Watch (LNSC), were stationed at crucial locations to prevent any rally, according to reports gathered. The proposed rally site was also spotted with police water cannon, vans, black maria, and armoured RRS tanks. Traffic is backed up in Ojota and the neighboring areas due to barricades set up near the park entrance. According to reports, the Yoruba Appraisal Forum (YAF), a non-governmental organization, had scheduled a peace march for Friday. The Lagos Police Command, on the other hand, has cautioned the forum not to hold any rallies in the state. In a statement released on Thursday, Lagos police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi cited security concerns and the third wave of COVID-19.
