The Voice.The first opening broadcast was on 10 April, 2016. The four coaches for the inaugural season wereNigerian Artiste Waje, Timi Dakolo, Patoranking and 2 baba aka Tuface. The program was hosted by IkOsakioduwa and Stephanie Coker.The Voice Nigeria had its second season on 18 June, 2017. It had four coaches like the first season andfeatured Yemi Alade[a new coach] in place of 2 face Idibia. It was also hosted by Ik Osakioduwa andStephanie Coker. The winner was Idyl.The voice Nigeria Season three has promised to be filled with thrills and lots of suspense after 25 blindauditions with four weeks.The four coaches of the music reality TV Waje, Darey Art Alade, Falz, and Yemi Alade have been in battleas they brin in successful contestants to their team in the last four weeks.As the coaches battle for team members, the contestants strife to give in their best performance forpossibility of joining any of the teams.The show kicked off on March 27,2021. So far, the contestants have been identified with at least one ofthe four coaches in the four episodes of the blind audition.However, each of the coach is expected to have six talents on their teams. As of the fourth week, YemiAlade and Waje have lead the pace with five contestant each in their teams respectively. Having DareyArt Alade following closely with four contestant in his team while Falz looks at increasing the numbers ofthe contestant on his team from two to the required number of six in episode five.There was six performances in the first week from the contestants but only four of the talents made it toa team. Darey was the first to have a contestant on his team when 31-year-old Racheal Ogonodi chosehim as her coach. Yemi Alade was next with 28-year-old Ewaoluwa and also, 25-year-old OluwatosinEmehinola on her team.Finally, Falz had 20-year-old Peace Amaefula the first contestant on his team.Week two kicked off with Ayo brothers rooting for each other and contesting against each other for thestar prize. Nuel Ayo opted for Waje’s team while his older brother, Tim Ayo, went for Yemi Alade’s teamto become the third contestant.Falz got another contestant added to his tean when Okemdiya Chimomeze joined his team. 33-year-oldVanilla Chinagoro concluded the performances when she wowed the coaches but opted to Yemi Alade’steam to become the fourth contestant. Waje broke the protocol to request a second performance from25-year-old Dotun Deloye who performed Forever Young by Jay-Z but didn’t make it.In week three, viewers collectively agreed that it was Waje’s week though, Falz battled hard inconvincing the contestants to join his team. Out of the seven performances for the week, ElizabethOsesiameh, Inioluwa Adeyemi and Teslim Avwerosuo chose Waje’s team while some other three failedto impress any of the coaches for possibility of joining any of their teams. Of course, the week didn’t endwith Darey Art Alade getting an addition on his team. 23-year-old Esther Benyeoho. Week four began with Loven Akinloye serenading viewers and coaches with his rendition of Fire boy’sNeed You. Meanwhile, Falz, Yemi Alade, and Waje tried canvassing the 24-year-old to their team.Instead, he opted for Yemi Alade’s team. Deed voiced Jeremiah Ranti-Akerele got Darey Art Aladeswooned as he performed Sam Smith’s hit single, I’m not the only one. 21-year-old Ifunnaya Nwangenechose to join Waje’s team after she got a bow from Yemi and Waje for her powerful rendition ofRihanna’s hit song.20-year-old Ayomikun Ojoade wrapped up the week by joining Darey’s team. The week also had someother contestants who left dejectedly after what they felt was convincing enough but was not able tooffer them a spot on the team.
