Lagosians and fun seekers will enjoy a memorable occasion, according to a statement from the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, as A-list Nigerian artists have signaled their readiness to play to the delight of all attendees. They’ve also assured Lagosians and Nigerians that they’ll have the best entertainment that Lagos has to offer.

Davido, Tiwa Savage, Ayra Starr, Teni, and D’banj are among the artists scheduled to perform at the open-field event, while veteran musicians such as Dede, Kwam 1, and Shina Peters will also make special appearances.

Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer, confirmed her attendance at the upcoming event and urged Nigerians to expect the greatest entertainment from her at the concert.

“I can’t wait to show the public on ‘Eko on Show,'” Teni said. “See you guys on the 15th of October.”

“We are extremely glad to have this festival in Lagos today,” Araoluwa, the famed female Talking Drummer, said at the October 15 event. “It’s long awaited since we’ve been shut down for too long and so we’re quite elated.”

Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, a Nigerian fashion designer and founder of the eponymous label among other designers, will also be present at the event to show off some of her eponymous label’s collections, which include couture, ready-to-wear, jewelries, hairpieces, metallic fabrics, lace, and African patterns, among other things.

There will also be a show of classic artworks from Nike Art Gallery, which is likely the largest of its kind in West Africa, with a collection of over 8,000 pieces by various Nigerian artists.

It should be remembered that the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Pharm. Mrs Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf, remarked during the event’s inauguration at the Muri-Okunola Park, Victoria Island, that the exhibition is one of the ways Lagos State is employing to showcase the state’s vast potentials to the globe.

Eko on Show is a cultural event that aims to gradually return activities to the entertainment sector following COVID-19 and to commemorate Nigeria’s 61st Independence Anniversary.
