AHMED MUSA FIRES BRACE TO PUT CSKA MOSCOW BACK ON TRACK
CSKA Moscow are back in the hunt for a UEFA Champions League spot
after securing a 2-1 comeback win against Kuban Krasnodar thanks to a
brace from their Nigerian striker Ahmed Musa on Sunday.
The railwaymen needed the Nigerian to draw them level in the 73rd
minute before he added a second five minutes from full time to hand
them a 2-1 win which keeps their hope of qualifying of next season
UEFA Champions League alive.
Musa rejoined CSKA Moscow on loan in January after an unhappy 18
months spell in England with Leicester City and since his return he
has impressed especially in the last three games, where he scored
against UFA and followed it up with two assist against Amkar Perm
before his brace.
Already he has voiced out his happiness with his form for the Russian
Side , and suggested he will be happy to turn his loan spell into a
permanent deal but that will depend on CSKA Moscow meeting the asking
price of Leicester City.
Signed for £16m , Leicester City will be hoping to recoup part of the
money they used in signing him, and they will be willing to hang on to
him until after the World Cup in Russia, where Musa is expected to
represent Nigeria.
