Justice Salami, Nasir Zango, Jaafar Jaafar, others RECEIVED 2018 Integrity Awards

Retired President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Isa Ayo-Salami; owner of Brekete Family FM station, Nasir Zango; the Publisher of Daily Nigerian Newspaper, Ahmed Isah; Freedom Radio presenter, six others emerged as anti-corruption champions of the year in an event tagged ‘2018 Integrity Awards’, organised by Youth Alive Foundation, YAF, on Sunday in Abuja.
Other individuals who were awarded include a Bayero University Kano lecturer, Malam Mu’azu Yusif, Nigerian Police officer, CSP Francis Osagie Erhabor, FRSC officer, Sikiru A.Aduloju, and an activist Soji Apampa.
Mr Jaafar, who had been in the practice of journalism over a decade, has shown himself to be outstanding in character in terms of ethics and integrity of journalism is concerned.
In the speech of the organisers, Mr Jaafar deserves the award for being “considered as a man of integrity because of his doggedness and bravery for exposing corrupt practices irrespective of who is involved.
“He acclaims his conscience as being his greatest role models in the profession and believes in the power of investigative journalism as a means to ensure the truth is on earth and leaders are put to task.”
