According to a scoop just reaching Hotjist.com from an anonymous source, Dana Airline has taken the delivery of its first Boeing 737 Aircraft in the early hours of today.

The 737 is Boeing’s only narrow-body airliner in production, with the 737 Next Generation (-700, -800, and -900ER), and the re-engined and updated 737 MAX variants.

The Boeing 737, has dominated the commercial aircraft market for about 52 years now. Making Boeing one of the most-popular jetliners in the world.

Airlines all over the world have ordered over 1500 Boeing 737s, while Boeing themselves made and delivered 10.510 of them so far.

However, the type is associated with two deadly crashes in Ethiopia and Indonesia that seem to tarnish its reputation as one of the most reliable and successful jets in history.

Dana Air is a Nigerian based Airline headquartered in Ikeja, Lagos and operates a domestic service around the country.

The Airline services had been halted by Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority NCAA until further notice after a Dana Air McDonnell Douglas MD-83 operating as Flight 992 crashed into a two-story building at Iju Railway, Ishaga, a suburb of Lagos on the 3rd of June 2012. All 153 people on the aircraft were killed.
