DAILY FINANCIAL MARKETS UPDATE
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.49%, while the Year-to-Date return stood at -9.82%. The All Share Index closed at 25,828.30 against the previous close of 25,701.60 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.884 trillion against previous close of ₦8.841 trillion. Volume traded increased by 209.18% from 181.108 million to 559.955 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 451.97% from ₦1.167 billion to ₦6.441 billion in 3,655 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 510.948 million shares exchanged for ₦5.857 billion. Conglomerates came next with 26.196 million shares traded for₦0.036 billion, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas, Agriculture sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
ETI, Access, Transcorp, UBA and FBNH were the most active stocks by volume. Unilever, Eterna, Transcorp, UCAP and Diamondbnk emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Glaxosmith, Cadbury, Berger, UBN and Caverton topped the losers chart.
