Everton’s Ademola Lookman snubs Super Eagles for England
Everton forward, Ademola Lookman, has pledged his international future to England ahead of Nigeria.
ESPN FC reports that the 19-year-old has chosen to represent his country of birth.
Lookman was born in London, but also qualifies to play for Nigeria because of his parents.
He has represented England at the U-19 and U-20 levels, but the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), were hoping to persuade him to switch his allegiance.
However, Lookman has held talks with the Football Association and has told them he wants to play for England. He is expected to be named in the English squad for the U-20 World Cup in South Korea this summer.
The player joined Everton from League One club Charlton for £10 million in the January window and is regarded as one of the best young attacking talents in the country.
