
EFCC NABS 40 SUSPECTED INTERNET FRAUDSTERS IN NIGER
The Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 40 suspected internet fraudsters in Niger State.
According to the commission, the arrests were made in Bida and Minna local government areas.
In a statement issued by Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity, the operation was carried out based on credible intelligence linking the suspects to online fraudulent activities.
Items recovered include three vehicles, eight power generators, one Hisense air conditioner, two stabilizers, 10 motorcycles, eight laptops, four Bluetooth speakers, and 60 Android phones.
Also seized were fetish items such as three feathered calabashes, traditional soap and sponge, a bottle of liquor, 20 cowries, a waist bead, and four women’s underwear.
Oyewale added that the suspects will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
