Oseni Braimah, a brigadiergeneral who was killed by terrorists in Benisheikh, Kaga LGA of Borno state, has been buried.

The Nigerian Army shared a statement on X saying the funeral took place on Wednesday at the Maimalari Cantonment Cemetery in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state.
The ceremony was described as full of sadness, respect, and thoughtful feelings.

Braimah was buried next to Captain Azubuike Michael Esimai and other brave soldiers who gave their lives while doing their duty.

The event was attended by Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno; Christopher Musa, the minister of defence; Olufemi Oluyede, the chief of defence staff; Waidi Shaibu, the chief of army staff; and other highranking military officials who came together to show respect for the bravery and devotion of those who passed away.

“Amidst grieving families and fellow comrades, the fallen heroes were accorded full military honours in recognition of their selfless service and unwavering commitment to the defence of the nation,” the statement reads.

“Their sacrifice serves as a poignant reminder of the heavy price paid daily by members of the Armed Forces to safeguard the peace, unity and security of Nigeria.”
