PDP’s Adeleke Wins Osun Senatorial By-Election

Dr Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] has won Saturday’s senatorial by-election in Osun State.
To emerge winner of the election contested by 11 political parties, Adeleke polled a total of 97,480 votes, winning the highest number of votes in 9 of the 10 Local Government Areas of the district.
His closest challenger, Senator Mudashiru Husain of the All Progressives Congress [APC], polled 66,116 votes to come second. He won in one local government area.
Dr Ademola Adeleke won in Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Iwo, Ola-Oluwa, Ayedire, Irewole, Ayedaade and Isokan
The PDP candidate also has substantial vote in one other local government won by the All Progressives Congress.
Meanwhile Senator Mudashiru Husain on his part won clearly in Ejigbo.
