Nigerians React To Toke Makinwa’s Viral Video About Men Who Call Via Whatsapp
Toke Makinwa faced series of backlash last week when she talked about hairnets, farting, morning kisses and more and in her recent vlog spilled the juice on what she thinks communication should be like between a couple.
She said she doesn’t have a problem with guys who WhatsApp as long as they make an effort to call as well.
She also added guys who would rather call via WhatsApp than over cellular network might come across as cheapskates as the effort is just as worth the action.
Despite her stance on WhatsApp call, she is of the opinion that WhatsApp calls might be more convenient for couples whose other half is away in another country with respect to time zone difference and cost.
In her words, she said;
I think its okay to WhatsApp just as long as you also call. I think calling shows that he’s actually putting some effort into wanting to speak to you. And when I say call, I dont mean WhatsApp call. Spend your money, let me feel like you’re on the phone for like an hour with your money….
Guys, take it from me, girls like being called. You thinking ‘Oh, let me not bother her. Let me just chat’. Sometimes, it makes us think you’re lazy.
She also talked about guys who constantly change their display pictures and guys who always tweet and troll at celebrities.
Here’s what people thought about what she said:
