EMCOAN plans CEO training and end of year gig
The Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) has announced its 2017 annual CEOs Training and End of the Year Gig for its members and other interested stakeholders holding on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Pearlwort Hotel & Suites, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
āThe pivotal reason for this CEO Training is to ensure that members of EMCOAN are in tuned with the current content production techniques, international best practices and standards when it comes to content production, distribution and pricing,ā said EMCOAN President, Mr. Paul Igwe who is also the CEO of Whitestone Cinema Limited (Producers of popular soap series like āClinic Mattersā, The Benjamins, OJAYS, ASUNDER etc).
āThis will strategically place the content owners at a vantage position in the comity of colleagues globally. After all, content we know is king.ā
This yearās CEOs Training is divided into two sessions. The first one is themed āContent Production: International Standards and Formatsā to be facilitated by Niyi Akinmolayan (Director of The Wedding Party 2, The Arbitrator etc) while the second is tagged āMarketing (Pricing)ā to be facilitated by Patrick Akushie former Distributor with Cotequest.
The training is also open to Non-EMCOAN members who are Industry stakeholders who must however, register to benefit from this immense knowledge acquisition opportunity.
According to the EMCOAN Public Relations Officer, Mr. Alayande Stephen, ātoday, there is a shift in focus of content production for just local audience and consumption to a more robust and all-encompassing target audience which is beyond the borders of just Nigeria and Africa but to millions of people yearning for African content globally, hence, this training is to further lubricate our arsenals to be able to meet up with the international standard and global best practices.ā
EMCOAN, the umbrella body of Chief Executives Officers (CEOs) of Content Owners in Nigeria, as a major stakeholder in the ongoing campaign for Digitization Migration in the Broadcasting Industry in Nigeria is leaving no stone unturned to be ready when the country eventually switches from analogue to digital transmission. The chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) is Mr. Wale Adenuga (MFR).
