A 43-year-old woman, identified simply as Gift, has been arrested by officers from the Nkpolu Police Division in Diobu, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State for allegedly biting off the tip of her lover’s manhood.
The shocking incident occurred on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Bishop Okoye Street, Mile 3 Diobu.
According to eyewitness accounts, the altercation began after the victim, one Mr. Sunday, reportedly requested sex from Gift.
She refused, allegedly citing his frequent use of sexual enhancement drugs that make their intercourse excessively prolonged and uncomfortable for her.
The situation escalated when Sunday allegedly resorted to physical violence in an attempt to force her into the act.
In retaliation, Gift is said to have grabbed his genitals and bit off the cap of his penis with her teeth.
The victim’s screams reportedly drew the attention of neighbors, who rushed to the scene. Gift was nearly lynched by an angry mob before officers from the Nkpolu Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, intervened and arrested her.
Sunday was later taken to an undisclosed hospital for urgent medical attention.
The incident has been confirmed by the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Grace Iringe-Koko.
Iringe-Koko was quoted, saying: “Yes, I can confirm the incident. The woman (suspect) aged 43 years has been arrested. Investigation is ongoing.”
