YOBE APC STAKEHOLDERS ENDORSE BABA WALI FOR 2027 GOVERNORSHIP RACE

The Yobe State All Progressives Congress (APC) Critical Stakeholders Forum has endorsed former Secretary to the State Government, Baba Wali, as its preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

The endorsement was contained in a communiqué issued after a stakeholders’ meeting held on Wednesday in Abuja.

The forum described Wali as a seasoned technocrat with the requisite qualifications, patience, and temperament for effective leadership and governance, noting that his years of service across successive administrations position him to sustain the state’s development agenda.

Stakeholders added that his experience in government makes him well placed to ensure continuity of ongoing policies and programmes in Yobe State.

The party had earlier resolved to adopt a consensus approach in selecting its candidates for future elections.

The forum also reaffirmed its support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Governor Mai Mala Buni and former governor Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, who chairs the forum, said the party would continue engaging in dialogue aimed at strengthening unity within its ranks.
