He is a seasoned diplomat with more than 30 years of experience in Nigeria’s foreign service, having held senior roles including Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic postings in Addis Ababa, Belgrade, Ottawa, London, and New Delhi.
President Tinubu said the appointments are aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s foreign policy framework, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing international engagement.
He charged the new appointees to advance Nigeria’s national interests, promote economic diplomacy, strengthen regional stability, and ensure the welfare of Nigerians in the diaspora.
According to the statement, the reshuffle forms part of broader efforts to reposition Nigeria’s foreign policy structure for greater effectiveness and stronger global partnerships.
