We have all seen, read and enjoyed the drama between Wizkid and Davido over the years.
Some fans had gone to the extent of being a permanent hater for either of the artistes.
While some of us sat back to enjoy the gullibility of some fans, we’ve also loved how the trend has grown.
One thing is sure, music is business. You need to stay in the news always as a celebrity even if you’re not making music.
These 2 guys saw the opportunity to always be in the news and they seized it. It paid off.
They are currently the biggest artistes in Africa, argue with Google or your ancestors. They can’t afford to let that slip off by not being in the news – always.
When Pepsi came out with the banner of their event, we know Pepsi got the 2 guys as ambassadors. The best thing Pepsi did on the banner was to put them side by side, no one was on either sides. The other artistes were definitely under.
The final drama came on the 24th when Wizkid told his teeming followers on Twitter to expect surprises that night.
No one thought it could be Davido, Davido bawo!
However, that was what happened.
Davido came up, everyone wanted to die. It was awesome.
Some pundits are already saying these 2 will do a collabo in 2018 but that’s not for us to say.
Let’s watch their next move.
Davido’s show is on the 27th, let’s see if he’d reciprocate the gesture.
We’ll still seat back to enjoy these two biggest artistes.
