AHMED MUSA DESPERATE TO END GOAL DROUGHT AT CSKA MOSCOW
Nigeria international Ahmed Musa hopes that he will soon regain his
scoring form at his Russian Premier League club CSKA Moscow.
The speedy forward has failed score in his first four competitive
matches for Moscow since rejoining the club during the January 2018
Transfer Window.
Musa joined Moscow from English Premier League outfit Leicester City
on a short-term loan deal as he looks to regain his old form ahead of
the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.
The Super Eagles star is confident that he will soon start scoring
goals for Moscow, who are placed fifth on the Russian Premier League
standings.
“I am sure that I will start to score soon. I work, I try very hard to
make this happen as soon as possible,” Musa told bobsoccer.ru
.
“The most important thing is to score the first goal, then things will
go better right away. It will be very difficult matches, for us, and
for our rivals.”
On Thursday, Musa played 73 minutes as Moscow suffered a narrow 1-0
defeat to French side Olympique Lyonnais in the Europa League round of
32 first-leg match at VEB Arena.
The 25-year-old is part of the Nigeria squad that will face Poland and
Serbia in FIFA international friendly matches later this month.
