OYO FIRST LADY APPEALS FOR MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION OF WOMEN IN 2019 ELECTION
The wife of the Oyo state governor Dr. Florence Ajimobi has appraised the governor for the demonstration of high esteem in which he puts women in Oyo state and his support for their well being
She gave this appraisal today at the International Women’s Day Celebration which was held at the civic centre, Idi Ape, Ibadan.
Florence during her speech encouraged government at all level to put up machineries which would continue to see to the affairs of women in place
The wife of the governor further used the medium to send a request to the governor through the commissioner of women affairs, community development, social affairs and poverty alleviation, Atinuke Oshikoya, to allow women maximum participation of women in the forthcoming 2019 general election.
Florence Ajimobi encourages women that are being violated to report to the appropriate ministry in other to protect their right irrespective of their tribal, religious and social status without prejudice.
