Senators Accuse Abdullahi Adamu of Plotting To Remove Saraki, Principal Officers
A Senator representing Ebonyi Central, Sen Obinna Ogba has accused Sen Abdullahi Adamu of plotting to remove Bukola Saraki and other top members of the upper legislative chamber.
This allegation came up on Thursday under Order 42 of the Senate Rules, where Abdullahi Adamu representing Nasarawa West was said to be the mastermind of the alleged plot.
The matter was therefore referred the matter to the Committee on Public Petitions to investigate the matter and report in two weeks.
In another development on the floor of the senate, Sen Dino Melaye also came up under order 43 of the senate standing rules to inform his colleagues of the new developments in Kogi state that Governor Yahaya Bello now imports arms and military uniforms for hoodlums.
He said though the imported items have been intercepted by the customs and are currently at the Abuja International Airport.
Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu who presided over the plenary urged politicians to exercise restraints and shun acts that could heat up the polity, in the lead up to the 2019 general elections.
Subsequently, an Adhoc committee was thereby constituted for the investigation of Kogi incidents to the chaired by Sen James Manager.
Other members of the Committee includes, Senators Jeremiah Hussaini, Hamma Missau, Kabiru Marafa, Solomon Olamilekan, Matthew Urhoghide, and Chukwuka Utazi.
