Osinbajo prays for peace, joy in Nigeria at 61
yesterday marked his 61st birthday anniversary in a low key where he expressed gratitude to God for preserving his life.
“I am grateful to God for preserving my life. It is just exciting to be one year older. I think we are gradually getting to that class who are called senior citizens and it places greater responsibility,” he said.
Osinbajo who was visibly elated by the surprise show of love exhibited by presidential aides and others who thronged his office with birthday cards, also prayed that Nigeria should experience greater height.
Present to celebrate with him were Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and few members of cabinet.
The SGF prayed God to continue to safeguard and imbue him with wisdom to provide counsel to the administration. “We are gathered to share with you on this very auspicious day.
Our prayer is that God will continue to watch over you, continue to fill you with wisdom and understanding that at every point in time as you counsel with Mr. President, you will give him Godly counsel.
That he will depend on you for insights into the governance of this country and for those of us working with you, we will receive direction to take this country forward and to greater heights,” the SGF said.
Others who joined in the brief ceremony held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja were Minister of Water Resources, Suliaman Adamu, his Budget and National Planning counterpart, Udoma Udo Udoma, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele and Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang
