Chemical plant explosion kills 6 in Czech Republic
Six people are dead after an explosion at a chemical plant in the Czech Republic, the fire brigade said on Thursday.
Two other people were brought to hospital with serious injuries after the explosion, which took place in the town of Kralupy nad Vltavou, 25 kilometres north-west of Prague.
A spokesperson for Unipetrol, the company that owned the plant, confirmed the incident to a Czech broadcaster.
A little more than two years ago, there was an explosion in the same town in which two people were injured.
