Iheanacho, who was in action during the Super Eagles’ 1-0 win over Poland last Friday in Wroclaw, broke a bone in his hand before the friendly on Tuesday which Nigeria lost 2-0 to Serbia at The Hive Stadium in London.
According to reports from England, the Nigeria international will be assessed by his club to know his state of health as Leicester City prepare for Saturday’s Premier League trip to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Iheanacho joined Leicester from Manchester City after signing a five-year contract in the close season. The 21-year-old has struggled to cement his place in the team and has one goal from 15 league appearances this campaign.
