JOSE MOURINHO claimed Manchester United were the ‘masters in complication’ as they surrendered the Premier League title to Manchester City.

City were crowned top-flight champions following West Brom’s shock 1-0 win at Old Trafford today.
Pep Guardiola’s men beat Tottenham at Wembley yesterday and Jay Rodriguez’s winner against United secured the crown for the Etihad giants.
Mourinho’s side put City’s title party on hold last weekend after beating them 3-2.
But the Red Devils produced a woeful display against the Baggies to finally give up their hopes of catching their rivals.
Mourinho said: “We were masters in complication, everything was complicated.
“We didn’t want or played simple, everything was slow, one more flick, trick, turn. There was no fluidity. We did not deserve to lose, we gave them opportunity to win the match.

On United’s shocking display after their derby joy, Mourinho added: “I won eight titles and I am not on the moon because I won against Manchester City.
“I saw lots of people in the moon because we won against City. You could see the difference in the attitude to players compared to last week.”
“We deserve to be punished, but the defeat was too heavy.”
City have won the title with five games to spare and been by far the best team in the Premier League this season.

Asked about City’s success, Mourinho said: “I have won title, I would not be happy if someone say won title if someone lose a match.
“City won the title because they won more points than everyone else, don’t tell City they won title because United did not win, not fair on them.
“I trust in my work. Eight titles. Three Premier League. Last not 20 years ago, it was three. I know how to win.
“I believe in myself. You don’t win titles with inconsistency. You need consistency at every level. The mental level, day by day.”
