Which way to turn?Guards get disastrously tangled up during the Garter Ceremony at Windsor.

This is the cringe-worthy moment a company of young guards become hilariously out of step during the Order of the Garter Ceremony at Windsor Castle.

The troops from ‘five and-a-half company,’ clad in bearskins and ceremonial regalia, were watched by dozens of onlookers as they desperately tried to get back in line.

They were filmed marching outside the castle walls on Monday before being ordered to come to a halt.

As a sergeant booms ‘right turn!’ around half end up rotating in the wrong direction.

Several then continue turning around until they are facing in the right direction.

Hilariously, photographer and videographer Mike Goodwin then zooms into the face of one of the embarrassed young guards.

Mr Goodwin said: ‘We waited hours in the sweltering sun to see the the Garter Ceremony at Windsor Castle.

‘The bands played and marched professionally past then Five and a half Company stopped immediately opposite us.

‘What happened next really showed that kids nowadays have no idea which way to turn, neither left nor right.

‘The sergeant major must have cried in his sleep last night.’
