DRIVING AGAINST TRAFFIC

A Magistrate court sitting in Ede presided over by has ordered that a commercial driver, Saheed Ajayi be remanded in Ile-Ife Prison for knocking down a little girl on a dual carriage way.

Saheed Ajayi was alleged to have driven against the traffic on the 20th of July 2018 along Owode-Ede road in Osun State where he knocked down an 8 year old girl, Aishat Alege who has since them been in coma at the Intensive Care Unit of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Oshogbo.

Correspondent Abass Okandeji reports that the accused was also alleged to have ran away after committing the offence thereby leaving the girl in a pool of blood before she was later taken to the Hospital.

Ajayi was said to be handed over to the police by the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW after three days.

Ajayi will remain at ife in Ile-Ife Prison till the 30th of July 2018
