Iwobi Resumes Training Ahead Of Arsenal’s Trip To Newcastle
against Cardiff in the Premier League due to illness and also pulled out of Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier away at Seychelles last Saturday for the same reason.
The 22-year-old forward wrote beneath a picture of himself with the quintet of Alexandre Lacazette, Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Matteo Guendouzi posted on his Instagram wall @alexanderiwobi; “Haaa 17’s back Yaa Digg. Always nice when your team wins in training.”
Iwobi has made two starting appearances this season for Arsenal and has scored once. He will be looking to make his 68th EPL appearance for the Gunners who are in search of their third win of the season.
A goal for Iwobi in the encounter will take his tally to ten in the EPL since he made his debut in 2015 as a substitute in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Swansea. He replaced Mesut Ozil in the encounter.
Arsenal are currently ninth in the EPL table with six points from four games.
