Troost-Ekong, Aina Set To Clash In Sunday’s Serie A Game
Troost-Ekong and Aina picked up injuries in Udinese and Torino’s last league games against Fiorentina and SPAL respectively, which stopped them from featuring in Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles last weekend.
The duo however returned to training this week and are in line to feature for their respective clubs in the game.
Meanwhile, Torino manager, Walter Mazzarri has stated that Aina will be further assessed on Sunday to ascertain if he is fully fit to take part in the game.
“Aina? It seems he is okay, but tomorrow we will make our assessments so as not to take risks,” Mazzarri stated during his interaction with the media on Saturday.
Troost-Ekong who joined Udinese from Belgian club, KAA Gent this summer has started all three league games for the Julio Velázquez’s side.
Aina has also played in all three league games for Torino, starting once and coming as a substitute twice.
