LAGOS GOVENORSHIP RACE: AGBAJE BUYS LATE FORM – BOASTS OF VICTORY

Lagos State Gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Part,
PDP in 2015, Jimi Agbaje has announced his ambition run for the same
seat.
Jimi Agbaje who made this known via a phone conversation with newsmen,
said, the decision was born out of several pleas by his well wishers.
He said, after giving it a deep thought, he is now convinced beyond
any doubt he would win the race to the Lagos State Governorship seat
in 2019.
Agbaje also stated that issues in his party, PDP would not have any
negative influence on his ambition. “It is the people of Lagos that
will decide. The issues in the party will not impart negatively on
votes. Most Nigerians now vote for individuals rather than party,” he
said.
He further said, “It is true that initially I did not want to contest,
but I had so many people urging me to run. “I bought and submitted my
nomination form shortly before it closed. I will be part of the PDP
Lagos governorship primaries, billed for Friday, September 28th 2018”.
Agbaje, a pharmacist and a business tycoon who is also a senior
brother to Segun Agbaje, the CEO of Guarantee Trust Bank,GTB,
contested for the governorship post of Lagos in 2015 and lost to the
sitting Governor, Akinwumi Ambode
