Success Misses Out On Watford Goal Of The Month Prize
Nigeria forward, Isaac Success, missed out on Watford’s Goal of the Month Award for the second consecutive time after his teammate, Roberto Pereyra claimed the top prize for October.
Pereyra’s solo effort against Huddersfield last weekend was adjudged the best by the fans who gave him 54% of their votes.
The midfielder outside-of-the-foot finish at Wolves was also adjudged the second best out of the five goals nominated for the award.
Pereyra’s goal against the Terriers follows Domingos Quina (v Reading, August) and Andre Gray (v Manchester United, September) in picking up the Goal of the Month prize.
Success came second behind Gray in the award last month.
His goal against Huddersfield last Saturday was his second ever for the Hornets in what was his second starts of the campaign for the club.
Success’ only Premier League goal before the strike against Huddersfield was scored over two years ago in the 2-2 draw with visiting Bournemouth.
He will look to continue his fine run of form for Javi Gracia’s men when they take on Newcastle United at the St James’ Park on Saturday.
