TOPE ALABI LEADS RANK OF MOST PLAYED NIGERIAN ARTISTES IN 2018
Tope Alabi not only tops the list as the best artiste of 2018 in Nigeria on digital music streaming platform, Boomplay, but also claimed the spot for most album plays. Davido’s “Assurance” claimed the spot for most-played while “Mind” by DMW is the second most-played song in Nigeria.
Mind by DMW, Joromi by Simi and Easy by Reekado Banks also topped as the most trending songs in Nigeria based on the number of times each song appeared in the Top 100 Nigeria chart.
Assurance by Davido, Single & Searching by Yemi Alade and Malo by Tiwa Savage featuring Wizkid claimed the spot as “Top Music Videos” in Nigeria based on the number of views garnered.
Afropop and Afrofusion was the most listened-to genre that dominated 2018, but Gospel music experienced a steep increase – with Tope Alabi being the most trending artiste of 2018.
