NPFL19 PLAYOFFS: PILLARS TOP TABLE AFTER BEATING ENYIMBA 2-NIL IN ROUND 2

Kano Pillars have climbed to the summit of the 2019 Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL Super Six table after beating the elephant of Aba, Enyimba 2-0 in the second round of matches.

The game which was put on hold 2 regulation minutes remaining in the first half on Thursday due to heavy downpour, resumed by 9 AM this Friday.

Adamu Hassan opened the scoring for Pillars in the 71st minute after Enyimba’s Ifeanyi Anaemena had missed a penalty in the 61st minute.
Nyima Nwagua then doubled the lead for the Kano boys in the 81st minute.

Earlier on Thursday, Cyril Olisema’s brace ensured Akwa United condemned FC Ifeanyi Ubah to their second loss after they were beaten 2-1.
Enugu Rangers also recorded their first win, edging Lobi Stars with 2-1 thanks to goals from Chimamaka Madu and Godwin Aguda.
